I had built an Android app that showed absences and grades, and I wanted the whole municipality to be able to use it. The problem was iPhone. To build the iOS version I needed a Mac, and I could not afford one. So in December 2017 I emailed several electronics chains and asked if they could sponsor one, used or new. I know what it is like to stand there with an idea, some code and no money, and have to ask strangers for help. That is why the fund exists. Someone should say yes to that email, and now it can be me. App and Mac

Small amounts for equipment or travel go quickly, and bigger things, like sponsoring an event, are on the table too. The one rule I keep is that a single project does not get the whole year's fund.
