# What gets stored while you're here.

Last updated: July 19, 2026

## Short version

The site uses **no advertising** and **no third-party trackers**. The analytics are cookie-free, the forms store only what you type in yourself, and the password generator runs entirely in your browser, nothing you create there ever leaves your machine.

I use [Plausible Analytics](https://plausible.io/privacy-focused-web-analytics) to see how many people read what. Plausible is cookie-free, anonymises your IP before it’s stored, and sets nothing in your browser. The analytics only load *after you’ve clicked “OK” on the banner at the bottom*.

## What I collect

When you send a booking request via the form, I process your name, organisation, email, preferred dates and message so I can reply. The request is delivered to my inbox as email via [Resend](https://resend.com), and you receive a confirmation copy at the address you provided. It is not stored in any database of mine, and never shared.

The forms are protected against bots with Cloudflare Turnstile. Turnstile processes some technical signals from your browser to tell people from bots, without cookies and without cross-site tracking.

---

## Newsletter

If you sign up for the newsletter, your email address is stored in a self-hosted newsletter system on my own server. No third party gets the address. It is used only to send the newsletter, and deleted when you unsubscribe. Every single mailing contains an unsubscribe link.

---

## Cookies and local storage

Three things are stored in your browser, none of them for tracking: your language choice (Norwegian/English) is kept in a cookie so the site remembers it. Your analytics choice from the banner is kept in localStorage. In addition, one session cookie is set when logging into the admin area, that one only applies to me as the site owner.

---

## Logs

The web server logs IP addresses and requested URLs for up to 14 days to detect attacks and fix errors. Traffic passes through Cloudflare, which protects the site and may process your IP address as part of that. None of this is used for marketing or analytics.

---

## Analytics consent

You haven't answered the analytics banner yet.

## Questions or deletion

Send an email to [daniel@websecured.io](mailto:daniel@websecured.io) if you'd like to see what's stored about you, or have it deleted.
