In 2026 I am giving NOK 50,000 in sponsorship to young people and good ideas.

Part of the profit from my talks goes back to where I started: to young people with an idea, events that need a sponsor, and small projects. Preferably tech and cybersecurity, but no idea is too small or too odd.

The story

When I was 15, I asked electronics retailers for a Mac.

I had built an Android app that showed absences and grades, and I wanted the whole municipality to be able to use it. The problem was iPhone. To build the iOS version I needed a Mac, and I could not afford one. So in December 2017 I emailed several electronics chains and asked if they could sponsor one, used or new.

I know what it is like to stand there with an idea, some code and no money, and have to ask strangers for help. That is why the fund exists. Someone should say yes to that email, and now it can be me.

Hi, my name is Daniel Christensen, 15 years old! I am from Trondheim. I have made an Android app that I am going to show to the municipality. But I want to make an iPhone app too. So I was wondering if you could sponsor a used or new Mac. My app is for checking grades, absences and so on, and it could be used across the whole municipality. If you helped me it would be a dream.
One of the emails, translated from the Norwegian I sent as a 15-year-old.

Oslo Sprint Hackathon

For companies

Contribute to the fund

Want to support young people and good ideas without building your own programme? Put the money into the fund. I find the recipients, follow up and tell you what the money became. You get your logo at the top of the page and your name on every grant you are part of.

The easiest way to contribute is to book a talk. Part of the profit from every talk goes straight to the fund.

Any young person, and anyone with an idea in tech or cybersecurity. Pupils, students, teams, student companies and volunteer-run events. You do not need a company or a budget. You need an idea and a plan for the first steps.
