Shortly after, email meant for a bank started pouring in, and suddenly I was holding access nobody should ever have sent away. This is the true story of how I became a bank manager overnight, entirely by accident. The story is funny, but the point is serious: it shows how easily sensitive information goes astray, and how much an attacker can achieve when other people make small mistakes. Along the way we go through the most effective anti-scam tricks that exist today, for individuals and companies alike. ## What your audience takes away - A story they’ll be retelling at lunch, with real material from the incident - How scammers exploit forgotten domains, misdirected email and old infrastructure - Anti-scam tricks that actually work, from family code words to routines at work - How to check whether your own information is already out there ## How the talk is structured This is my signature talk, and it works equally well at conferences, open evenings and leadership gatherings.
