## About the talk

In lower secondary school my GPA was 2.9. I left upper secondary with a 5.6. This talk is about what happened in between, and how curiosity about computers and security turned into a job I look forward to every day.

This is not a talk about becoming a hacker. It’s about finding something you care about, and what that does to school and motivation. Cybersecurity just happens to be the example I know best.

## What the students take away

- An honest story about going from weak grades to top grades, with no shortcuts
- How an interest can turn into an education and a job, with IT security as the example
- Small demos from the hacker’s world that wake up the room
- Concrete advice they can use no matter what they want to become

## How the talk is structured

The talk runs about 45 minutes and is interactive: the students take part along the way, and no question is off limits. The content is adapted to the year group in the room, whether that’s grades 8–10 or upper secondary.

## Practical details

Works in an auditorium, gym hall or classroom, and can also be held remotely. Teachers and advisors are just as welcome in the audience. Get in touch and we’ll adapt it to your school.
