About the talk

These are the stories from everyday life as an ethical hacker. The checkout that let me buy minus four items. The form that accepted minus 1.2 billion kroner when the limit was 55,000. The lift with its info screen on the internet, the admin panel wide open and 885 days of uptime. All of it found where I happen to be, not in a lab.

Then we zoom out. What does the digital threat landscape look like for Norwegian organisations, why are there more vulnerabilities every year, and what does artificial intelligence do to both attack and defence? The answer I land on is surprisingly simple: openness. Speaking up is part of the defence.

What the audience takes home

  • Real findings with screenshots, receipts and the replies from the organisations that were told

  • Why physical security matters as much as digital security

  • An honest picture of the threat landscape, the vulnerabilities and what AI changes

  • Security tips they can use the same evening, and how to check whether their own details have leaked

How the talk works

The audience takes part all the way through. They scan a QR code, and their phones follow the talk with questions they answer as it goes. The answers show up live, and towards the end it becomes clear how many people in the room could already have been hacked.

Practical

No technical background needed. Given in Norwegian or English, on site or online, and the length fits your programme. The findings were reported to the organisations involved, and everything sensitive is anonymised.
